OVERVIEW : -

The world of finance is changing dramatically. Technology is influencing the financial services industry majorly. Tasks once handled with paper money, bulky computers, and human interaction are now being completed entirely on digital interfaces. Technology is transforming the way finance companies providers interact with their customers, just as it is also changing the way consumers’ access financial products. Technological influence on finance has never been greater at any point in human history. Consilium, the Business Conclave of NSIT, aims to bring together finance enthusiasts and scholars. The Conclave will engage the participants in a productive experience connecting and tampering with the finance sector. We at FES, the Finance and Economics Society of NSIT, aspire to be leaders in this fast growing and exciting field, and excited to have you join us in using technology to envision the future of finance and banking!

ABOUT THE EVENT: -

The finance and economics society of NSIT brings to you Hackrupt, a 24 hour FinTech hackathon to be held at NSIT aiming to merge the sectors of technology and finance by encouraging participants to create real world and usable software products as new innovative solutions to problems in the finance sector. We are looking for innovative and out of the box solutions which will revolutinize the Fintech sector.


The event will be conducted just like traditional hackathons, a 24hr sprint of programming. Your goal should be to start from scratch and end with a working prototype modelling your solution. Themes of the hackathon will be released soon on the website. The solution could be anything from a website to a desktop software. The teams will have complete freedom on how they want to approach the idea, the only condition being that it should solve a problem or bring innovation in the field of finance. Advocating an ideology to recognize and reward innovation, Hackrupt offers exciting prizes to the winners. Participants will be judged in regular assessments throughout the 24 hours of the hackathon. Hackrupt includes all food and accommodation facilities for the participants. RULES AND REGULATIONS: -

1. All Submissions remain the intellectual property of individuals or organizations that develop them.
2. You will not submit content that is copyrighted, protected by trade secrets or otherwise subjected to third party intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights.
3. Contest prizes are non-transferable.
4. All code should be written only during the stipulated hackathon time.
5. Contestants should maintain civil decorum throughout the hackathon.

6. Contestants should comply to all directives from the organising committee.
